Don’t know if this will be enough to help, but in the text box dialog you can change from “attached to page” to “attached to measure.” It will remove manual positioning, but it will then survive cutting and pasting, and it would be less work than recreating everything as expressions. David

Others have told you how to widen a measure manually. Unfortunately, this method doesn’t survive a music respace. What I generally do is put rests in the measure in Layer 1, which affect the music spacing. Depending on how much space I need, I enter quarter rests, eight rests, or sixteenth
