[Finale] Finale and Yosemite
Hello friends - Some ten years ago I was active on this list! Now I'm getting back into Finale, but my old Macbook is running Yosemite. Will Finale 25 run on Yosemite? [Finale] Huge V1 covering the notes in Speedy entry
Win10 Fin2012c A huge black V1 (I guess voice 1) appears preventing me from seeing the notes I am entering. I do not remember ever having to cope with this silly obstacle. Please help! I don’t remember whether Finale 2012 has the new Change Instrument feature or not. If it does, select the passage and go to the Utilities menu. If the last item is Change Instrument, you’re in. Choose Alto Flute, and the transposition, playback, and abbreviated staff name in the score will all change for you automatically. If you only choose one measure, then the entire staff changes from that measure to the end of the document. This is a very useful feature. No more need to screw around with independent key signatures and staff styles for transposition and the like. Whew.
