A couple of months ago I was desparately looking for something similar and
didn't realize it had been removed. I had to opt for the bluetooth numeric
keypad on my MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo with 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2
SDRAM, for some of those functions. It works pretty well for the Finale

There is a plug-in in the scoring and arranging menu that assists with this
problem, I believe.
Try it and see what you think.
Usually, I try to program my own page turns by moving measures until I'm happy
with the results. Sometimes that gives us more pages, but, at the very least,
I'm on a Mac and Finale 2012.
It may be due to the parts being linked. When I try a linked part I receive the
same grayed-out information as you describe.

I think that works through the measure number dialogue box: one set of numbers
and positions for the score and another for the linked parts.
There are several different settings for each in the lower two thirds of the
dialogue box that should accomplish that.
Is that what you need?

I exported a rather complex 2011 file and imported it into fin2008 for my
