I use F2007 on a Mac (10.5.8) and a friend has just asked whether it's possible to collaborate on notation with him since he uses a PC. He's willing to buy Finale. My initial response, was: No it's just not practical, He wanted me to find out how those of you that actually do this,

Finale files are cross-platform. It would be very easy for you to collaborate. However, you'd both need to be using the same version of Finale. Since your friend doesn't have Finale, he'll be buying Finale 2010, meaning you'll need to upgrade to that version as well. Cheers, - Darcy

Unless you are using some custom font, maybe Bill Duncan's Productivity fonts, it won't be an issue. I never had any problems moving files back and forth between platforms. Helvetica, Time, Arialstandard font faces work fine. Heck even Comic Sans works (Shudders). Though Bill
