It may make a difference if you have Activate GPO support set to
Auto Detect (vs. Always) when using the Apply Human Playback
plugin.
If you want to use the GPO instruments with your exported MIDI file, I
would choose Always in the Activate GPO Support menu before using
the Apply

don't apply it and simply SaveAs to SMF, it still exports all the HP
