Most programs nowadays let you download skins and stuff as an option if you
don't like the default visual items. Yet some of them can be easily made by
anyone who knows how (they're usually png images). Maybe people at Finale
can make things like icons, wallpapers or even cursors optionally
FinWin 2K7a, WinXP.
But Note Spacing still doesn't work if the current part has been assigned a
special voicing (Specify voicing in Manage Parts dialog), nor 4 key nor
context menu action. The other spacing options do work but this one in the
above mentioned case, at least for me.
Pity is
According to Ted Ross (p. 197), The wavy sign extends and ends above the
last affected note and not the duration of the last note.

I'm not sure what the standard rule concerning how far you extend the

I'm working on a score where the piano player changes to celesta in the
middle of the piece, and the instrument name I'm using is Piano, as it is
the first one used. There won't be problems with the part, as the group name
is not showing there, but in the score I need to change the group name

to do with linked parts. For sure, they could be useful in some
circomstances, but might become a pain in the butt in another.
So, if some of you got the same trouble, maybe this info coulb be useful.

You were right ... it wasn't a custom install, but the soundfont was
indeed
missing from the component files. I dragged the one from the Finale 2006
folder and it works fine.
Thanks much!

Dennis, instead of copying from the Fin2006 folder, copy it from the Finale

There is another way, but tedious (tho it did not take me much time), of
getting bariolage beaming: using several Special tools, that might be useful
in certain situations (don't know which, indeed):
- First, input the notes as there were no bariolage involved (just the 16th
notes)
- Apply
Hello everyone.
This is slightly off the former topic on string harmonics. I am facing problems
with string harmonics playback in FinWin 2011b. I used to create harmonics
(artificial) with TGTools and they used to playback according to what was
expected. I skipped Finale 2009 and 2010, and now

Thanks, Robert, no need to reply, I found your earlier post:
I sent a similar reply a while back, but I never saw it come thru.
For music without a key sig, use Chromatic Transposition.
For must with a key sig. use standard Transposition as follows:
1. Set the horn staves to Independent Key
Hi, Robert. Would you give me a hint on the better way to handle this situation

I remember that the changes made in the default file applied also to the Setup
Wizzard. I have changed the page sizes, in the score and parts, of the Maestro
default file, also in the Engraver document style files, from Letter to A4,
which we use here. I have also moved the A4-page size
I skipped Fin09 and Fin10, just to find there are some more bugs or undesired
behaviours in Fin11 than in Fin08, apparently. I found that the the changes in
the additional space applied to multimeasure rests do not stay. They actually
change at first, just to change back after the next action.
I think this is a sort of a bug (as I don't think it is the intended
behaviour).
When in Program Options/View, Display defined measure numbers is selected, and
at the same time, some measures in the score are forced not to be included in
the numbering, some processes linked to measures (like
Oh, this is simply amazing... I have followed every suggestion here. I have
changed the page sizes in every doc style and default file, I have edited the
pagesizes.txt file, but I don't get but Letter size by default and it does not
change whatever doc style I select. I went even further:
widths.
Are you using auto-sequencing rehearsal letters? If you want ONE odd one, you
have to make it NON sequencing. I copy the appearance of the sequencing ones,
except to make it non-sequencing.

Well, I've been with Finale since v.2.0. I remember some issues with
filenames with Spanish ñ and accents (the files were deleted when trying
to save them), but always had a backup. Now, I lost several hours of working
when something very weird happened.
I was working on an new file
I'm experiencing this annoying behaviours in Finale 2006 (Windows XP P4

By default, new files include one defined region (from m. 1 to 999). I've
selected to display defined measure numbers at Program Options - View, and
in past versions it always worked fine, displaying a combination of
Ok, Aaron, that's right (it's my XP skin that doesn't show greyed check
boxes!!) I'll write to Winsupport to report these bugs (I'll try to find out
more cases as you have described)
Rafael Junchaya
At any rate, there is a bug in here somewhere; please write to Winsupport.
It can, at least
I'm afraid I cannot replicate this bug. I'm on Finale 2006 for Windows. Did
you mean subsequent "staves" instead of "systems" maybe? Are those into the same
staff group?

Good morning! Just
I don't know of any "choral" symphony by Mozart, and I don't on that
collection on LP either, but it might help you to visit http://www.hogwood.org/rlp.htmwhere
you would fnd the Christopher Hogwood's LP recordings catalogue, and you might
compare it with the CD content listing.
