I decided to try to speed up pymol-py for the
1.0 release package currently on fink tracking.
I was able to easily precompile the python scripts
in this package with the lines...

"gettext"), and for the past several years a newer libversion of it
("libgettext3-dev" and "libgettext3-shlibs"). An even newer libversion
