I just discovered that my employer is hosting a fink mirror:

Per the request, here is a first draft of some scripts to automate
checking the mirrors and making sure they still work. I'll hack up
some to download the TIMESTAMP file from all the rsync mirrors soon.
These work for me in zsh; any portability or other corrections greatly
appreciated.

I just tested getting the TIMESTAMP file from all the rsync selfupdate
mirrors, and of the 16 listed, 6 were good, 8 were unavailable for a
variety of reasons, and 1 was five days out of date. (bru.be.eu is
listed twice for some reason.) I'm intending to do the distfiles
mirrors next. Details b
