Are these errors normal while installing emacs-20.7-5?
install-info: unknown option `--dir-file=/sw/src/root-
emacs-20.7-5/sw/share/info/dir'
usage: install-info [--version] [--help] [--debug] [--maxwidth=nnn]

OK, I guess I should have read the description first. But I was just so
taken in by the pretty pictures :) I see that you're using a and Aqua
theme for Gnome. But question #2 still stands.
Thanks again.

Cool, thanks for the info. A few follow ups:
When you switch workspaces, does the OS X desktop (and any Aqua
apps) just kinda follow yo

I am pretty much out of ideas. I could imagine a problem with
permissions (not really..)cor a weird version
Hello All,
I'm new to this list, I'm not a Fink user yet. I've been interested in
getting a new Mac with OS X but as a Debian user, I've always had the
excuse of not
having apt to keep thigs upto date. Then I found out about Fink and my
interest in OS X is back in a big way.
There are a few q

There is another possibility, of course: instead of telling users to avoid
"." in the path, we could use "/usr/bin/install" instead of "install"
in the fink scripts. Justin's problem arose from fink itself trying to
install the %i directory, rather than from an install command in an
InstallScript
I don't if anyone else has mentioned this (I get the digest version
of the list) but fink is mentioned in one of Apple "Hot News"
propaganda articles ("Consolidated Power" at
http://www.apple.com/hotnews/). You can also go directly to the
article:

While you're at it, could you look at including readline support, too?
Command-line editing is nice to have. It only needs some configure
Can you do a 'fink selfupdate'?

Over in the unstable branch many packages are moving from large inclusive
bundles to subdivided packages. One example being teTeX. I get the
impression
that the subdivided packages are going to be maintained but the bundles
might not.
So, what is the correct way to remove a bundled package and
