hi there,
it seems to me that my last fink update-all has somehow broken my
tetex installation again:
when I launch xdvi I get the following error:
Xdvi Error:
Could not find config file xdvi.cfg in path
/sw/share/texmf/xdvi:/sw/var/lib/texmf/web2c:/sw/share/texmf/web2c -

hi all,
whenever I try to run dvips or dvipdf on a .tex file, I get the
following error:
dvipdf limes_ableitg.dvi Limes_Ableitg.pdf
dvips: ! Couldn't find header file texc.pro
but the file texc.pro is located at:
locate texc.pro
/sw/share/texmf/dvips/base/texc.pro
what's wrong here? any ideas?
hi all,

problem with my eterm...

libpng warning: Application is running with png.c from libpng-1.0.12
libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in

well the procedure wasn't that complicated in fact, and it works
perfectly!!
I have gftp running just fine!
you might try this, if you're lucky you still have the xfree.deb
files.. otherwise you either have to recompile the threaded version or
use a binary if available.

i'm aware of the fact, that in the apple x11 one can change the
usa.keymapping to another one as some peple have posted doing so

anywhere...
sorry if this has been answered
hi all,
I just tried to start apple's X11 from darwin, after having logged in
via console.. and unfortunately this didn't work. Is this meant to be
like this or did I do something wrong?
I tried (like I usually did):
% startx
and other variations of it. I also tried (just out of curiosity)

hi,
after trying to update-all I got the following error (see below) for
xfree86.. any ideas? (could't find solutions in the mail-archive... )
can I just manually delete the old files, since I want to replace them
or should I procede in a cleaner way? what would that be?
thanks for any
hi,
I ran into the following error while trying to update gnupg... is this
a common problem?
I could probably correct this error myself if I had enough time to look
at the sources... but has anyone else already dealt with this?
thanks for any hints

Hi, I'm using icewm and I have the same problem:
under xfree my cursor turns all black, which is extremely annoying if I
work on dark (black) documents, etc...
any ideas on how to change that?
cheers

Hi,
I ran into the following problem running fink selfupdate--- (I did the
last selfupdate about a week ago, it still worked then)
%fink selfupdate

cvs -z3 update -d -P
### execution of cvs failed, exit code 10

hi again...
well fink selfupdate works again, but it tells me that

Hi,
I was just wondering whether some of you got CUPS running successfully
and whether - if yes - you could give me some hints?!?
just reply to me directly, so we don't fill the mailing list with junk
that others don't want to read.
Many thanks in advance

hmmm after having updated mozilla I tried a fink rebuild galeon -
as usual - but this time it keeps on failing
this is what I get at the end of a really short compiletime. Any ideas
on how to solve this?
thanks in advance, alex

hi,
I've been using mozilla for quite a while now and it seems to work quite
well except for one thing:
I can't save any preferences, and I can't use any ssl or eq. security
options.
any ideas why? (is it as simple as just to chmod/chown the corresponding
files, or what?)
thanks in advance
chris,
this actually sounds like a good idea! I've had the same problem as
John, ever since I first tried just using the console. I usually waited
for a few minutes (but I'm sure not more than 5) and just forced a
restart after getting tired of watchin' that stupid beachball all the
time
?
Is there any message in console or terminal?

hi,
I know there have been discussions about problems with mozilla before...
but I forgot to keep them. so this might be an old
question/problem(sorry just in case)
I downloaded and compiled mozilla - everything went well.
but when I start mozilla (either from terminal or by clicking it

i'm not quite sure about what I'm going to tell you, so don't take this for granted...
I don't think you really need the finder application itself. there is a program available from cocoatech called snax. (visit www.cocoatech.com)
snax is another equivalent to finder
