/sw) froma PB to an iMac, I have seen there are a few files or
directories under certain packages that may result unreadable, at least
to an unpriviledged user. A quick "find" turns up the following files or
directories
They are right for most files, but there are some (most anything ending in
.sh or .a) that aren't supposed to be executable by anybody--I don't think
that will cause your system any damage, though. You could start by
chmoding these.

sudo chmod -R 755 /sw/lib
Now I am certain these permissions are wrong! Is there an easy way to
return the lib structure to it's correct state or is there little
damage being so liberal with the permissions in this directory?
