Understood, I'll work on this installation outside of fink, just figured I
should close the loop since I did not respond in November.
The more I learn about these things, the more I appreciate the effort that goes
into preparing and maintaining open source packages.

Hi, Folks,
Following up on this thread.
Question from 11/13 was what version of Fink I'm running. I typed "fink -V" and
here is the response:
Mega-iMac-6:~ afisher$ fink -V
Package manager version: 0.36.3.1
Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Fri Feb 7 18:23:33 2014, 10.6, i386
Trees: local
I had a heck of a time with cwp-su a few years back. I am not likely to try to
update it as it has dropped way down my priority list.

I've got access to 10.6-10.9 (though everything other than 10.8 is a
virtual machine), so I can consult and do build tests
cwp-su was a painful package to build. I just barely got it working before. I
could definitely use packaging help.

Thanks, Alexander,
I have also replicated the error on my office computer, Power Mac 2.66 Quad
core intel Xenon, running 10.6.8.
FYI, my tech person helped with a manual install on my powerbook (same OS) and
eventually got that working, but I was hoping to use fink for the other two
computers
