to select Close from the File me
Victor: I've uploaded a new revision of nedit to unstable cvs that uses
openmotif3 instead of lesstif - this appears to fix the crashing problem.
I've also removed the tabbed window patch, since it was causing occasional
crashes. Please try it and let me know if it works for you.

Aha! I wasn't at my Mac when I sent the message, so I couldn't try it
for myself. I tried it, and had the same problem--nedit died.
