I've tried compiling with OpenMotif before. Seems to fix the split windows problem and also the File:Open problem. The one bug I've experienced is that when you have multiple windows open, clicking the close window button crashes the whole program. A work-around is to select Close from the File me

Victor: I've uploaded a new revision of nedit to unstable cvs that uses openmotif3 instead of lesstif - this appears to fix the crashing problem. I've also removed the tabbed window patch, since it was causing occasional crashes. Please try it and let me know if it works for you. -Jeff On Tue,
