Hi Paul, Somehow you have a great mix up between stable and unstable packages on your disk (see below). Did you copy the root3.info and roofitcore.info file to the local directory or do you have the full unstable tree enabled? On Nov 29, 2003, at 10:08 PM, Paul INDELICATO wrote: Well root3

[Fink-users] using tftp-hpa ?

2003-11-30 Thread Stefan Langerman
Hi, I am trying to use tftpd from tftp-hpa-0.34 The package is installed, and so I try by hand: sudo /sw/sbin/in.ftpd -l -s /tftpboot but then trying to use tftp to download a file, it hangs and time out, as if the server was not there. 'ps aux' shows tftpd is still on. If I use the tftpd

Well you were right of course! I use PsynX for backing up my hard disk to a firewire external disk, and sure enough it has installed rsync-hfs in both /usr/bin and /usr/local/bin! Hopefully I had the genuine Apple version on an other machine. It is a 1/3 in size and now all is fine with

[Fink-users] Request: imap-2002e

2003-11-30 Thread Randall Perry
Anyone interested in adding UW imap-2002e to fink packages? I use ipop3d for pop services on my OSXS 10.2.6 mail server. ipop3d authentication fails in OS 10.3, presumably because of PAM auth requirement. Tried compiling with pam: make osx PASSWDTYPE=pam SSLTYPE=none but got error saying

Hi Randall, I set up imapd. http://www.spookyhill.net/HOWTO/imapdv2/index.html helped me a lot. It also explains how to set up the popd as it is almost the same. Stefan. Am 30.11.2003 um 17:57 schrieb Randall Perry: Anyone interested in adding UW imap-2002e to fink packages? I use ipop3d

That did it. Thanks, you're a lifesaver. It's pam configure that I was unsure of. If anyone can recommend pam configure docs applicable to OS 10.3 please let me know. I'm having trouble configuring proftpd to use pam. Hi Randall, I set up imapd.

[Fink-users] XMMS Not Finding Plugins

2003-11-30 Thread Sean
I'm using the 10.3 stable of XMMS, or trying to, at any rate. It builds and installs just fine, as near as I can tell. When I try to run it though, it doesn't list any plugins (input and output included). Is there something wrong with the configure? The plugins are all there in the
