The MAX Europe team is still working this through, and no date has been
announced yet. The venue in Milan does not allow for as many sessions, plus
with the longer gap between MAX US and MAX Europe we want to ensure that
some sessions in Europe are not dupes but are actually new content ... lots

Subject: [flexcoders] FDS Scalability
How is the scalability with FDS with CF (and do you have to enable
sticky clustering)? I also heard that FDS+CF is much slower than
FDS+Java especially when traffic gets heavy. Ben Forta
When you finished the DB install it should have popped up and asked you do
you want to know how to install the CF Extensions?. Basically, there is a
ZIP file on your machine, somewhere under where the FB installer bits put
themselves, and you need to add that archive as a new Eclipse plug-in (in
Rick,
1) Correct, FDS and CF can be on a separate machines.
2) I am not a legal expert, and have not discussed this with our licensing
people, but it seems to me that if you install FDS and instruct the OS to
run it on a single CPU (instead of both) then you should be ok. As per the
license,
It'll
be another week or so before much is posted publicly. It's taken a little longer
to work things out this year with so many products and audiences, but we're
getting there. Stay tuned.

During
development? Start CF from the command line and you should see the CFML error
messages in the console window when they occur.

Why does the Flex API require use of a
Shockwave Control instead of
simply the Flash control?
This
is incorrect. Flex apps are run by the Flash player, not the Shockwave
player.

If you
want a gird look, why not just use DataGrid? Would not be hard to process the
HTTP results on the CF end and use the Query functions to turn it into a query
object which could then be easily rendered with DataGrid.
