Re: [flexcoders] FB 3.0.2 plug-in
This is a nightmare. Interestingly, the updater says 3.0.214193 is already installed, but the about box doesn't, and I don't see any new features New Air Project? Also, I get an assertion error opening an MXML file. OK, let's start over. Download Ganymede JEE. Run 3.0.1 plugin installer. Even if the root eclipse folder is called eclipse and has the config subfolder I still have to use the Proceed With Caution option. Try to run the update. It doesn't detect the ganymede install as updatable. Maybe because it doesn't have the 3.1 SDK I had added to the old installation. OK let's download 3.2. Does the Flexbuilder team have their own mailing list they monitor? On Wed, Nov 19, 2008 at 6:13 AM, Clint Tredway [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: no problem, took me a bit to find it as well. Richard Rodseth wrote: This is a nightmare. well you're not alone at least. the windows updater's not recognizing ganymede here either. the FB plugin update seems to go ok but the updater barfs after a time on the eclipse update bits.
Re: [flexcoders] FB 3.0.2 plug-in
I seem to be up and running and again, but I had to ignore a few warnings. I'm on Mac, and I think this is roughly what I did: 1) Download and extract Ganymede JEE (After I had problems opening the MXML editor on a previous attempt I figured there might be some WTP dependency so I went for the full JEE version) 2) Install 3.0.1 plug-in (why no 3.0.2 plug-in installer?) - choose proceed with caution if it doesn't recognize that the folder selected is valid Eclipse. At the end of the install, *don't* let the Adobe updater do its thing 3) Run the separately-downloaded 3.0.2 updater (I think there might have been another proceed-with-caution type incident. In my case I then proceeded to get Subversive 0.7.5 from the Polarion site, a saga in its own right. I had one uninformative compiler error complaining about -include-resource-bundle. This was fixed by setting the default SDK to 3.1 (which is actually still over in my previous FB install folder). Related question. If I get SDK 3.2 and build with that, am I comitted to Flash Player 10? [flexcoders] FB 3.0.2 plug-in
Is there an Eclipse plug-in version of 3.0.2 ? Or do I install 3.0.1 and run the updater from within Eclipse? I'm doing a new Eclipse install starting with Ganymede and thought I'd upgrade FB at the same time.
