I agree with Tim on this one... except I don't believe it is "just" another digital mode. Its time "just" hasn't come yet. No low bit rate, -free- and open source vocoder/speech codec exists today that can meet the "natural" voice quality and robustness expectations hams have for this mode.

Switching from Phase to Phase 2 to Waterfall will cause the Watherfall to "appear to have" a very high input level (all of display turns bright yellow).  Switching back to the Panadapter and then to Waterfall will "fix" the problem and sigs are then displayed ok.  Anyone else notice this?
