When I used have to climb hot AM towers, I would set up a wooden stepladder to get me above the base insulator. Then I would use my insulated diagonal cutter to touch the tower before I grabbed on. I always drew an arc just before it touched the tower. That's only at 1 Mhz. Mike - AA8K Tim

The SWR is only available if you have the Pwr Amp and in the Tune mode. I suspect that it is because of not being able to measure Forward and Reverse power at the same time. At least with Tune, you can assume that the level is the same when switching between Forward and Reverse. Seems to work f

The PC I use for TeamSpeak is not the same one I use for the SDR-1000. In fact, they are in different homes. So, looking at my TeamSpeak does not show my SDR-1000 OS. I loved Microsoft when they first came out, they beat the snot out of TRS-DOS, but I'm not pleased with what Windows has become.

I used OpenOffice to modify the database and it works fine. The only downside is that I have to put my changes in each time there is a new version, as I don't "import an existing database" when I install a new version. I like a clean copy. I'm getting pretty good at doing the calibrations. :
