filter for your computer power supply. These can be had for $5-6 and
replace the modular AC receptacle in your existing power supply. I
would certainly do this before replacing the power supply.
Here's a
Art,
I did not see the power supply rating. I use power supplies that are at
least 1.5-times the wattage needed. This eliminates (or helps reduce)
a lot of various problems such as heat and possibly noise. Although I
do not know about the RFI (just a hunch) anthough I can run my fans at a

Assuming you have several ethernet cables connected to that router,
disconnect each in turn and see if only one of them is at fault. If
so, replace it or try toroids.

The two areas I would concentrate on are the video hookup and the power supply.
How many toroids do you have on the cable going from the video card to
the monitor? Try changing the refresh frequency on your display and
see if the behavior changes. You can do this by

Hi Neal,
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried changing the refresh rate, resolution,
etc but to no avail. The noise continues even after removing the monitor
cable from the video board. I would guess this pretty much eliminates
input ?
Thanks, Art
