: [Flexradio] VAC Voice Keyer
I am pursuing the idea of using a voice keyer with my SR-1000 and
Flex-5000
(when it arrives) for contesting. I can buy a piece of hardware stick
it
in line between the microphone the radio. MFJ sells one for about
$200
that should work nicely. But, with PowerSDR
in doing it both ways (maybe both options can be incorporated in
a future version of PowerSDR)

Tim,
I see your point. However, the QRM issue could be easily handled by

contesting programs have the voice keyer built in. I know WriteLog
does, and would

Tim,
A voice keyer built into PowerSDR would be nice. However, with many
software packages already available to accomplish the same thing (contesting
software, stand-alone voice keyer software, etc.), it is inevitable that
different users will have their own different ideas about how it should
Jerry,
Yes, I use N1MM it has a voice keyer built in. BUT, the only way to get
the audio from N1MM into PowerSDR is by porting it out the on-board sound
card cabling it back into the microphone connector. I am suggesting that
we can avoid the extra hardware by using VAC between N1MM (or
