It sounds as if you might be using a relatively slow CPU with processor usage that high. That aside, as a short-term fix you could try com0com or alternatively Eterlogic's VSPE. Com0com's 32 bit version as with the Eterlogic solution are freeware, however 64-bit VSPE does require the purchase
