Ian,
You are correct that the voltages seen by the soundcard did not change. But
Cecil is correct. There is a software compensation in order to calibrate
the receive levels. If that parameter is different in the database

Thanks, Dale. Typically I see 5% utilization with only the SDR-1000
at present on my 2.8GHz 1GB dual core Pentium 4 when nothing else is
running. Good to know I don't need to shop for another box.

Hello Jerry,
Yes - I'm running this exact combination, and it works fine. Your CPU
usage will be a little higher of course, but even with a3 GHz P4 and 3GB
RAM, it averages only about 35% with both radios receiving

Will this work OK? - Two separate instances of PowerSDR (having been
earlier installed into two different directories, I guess), one
running my SDR1000 through its parallel port cable and Delta 44
soundcard and the other running my new Flex5000 through the firewire cable.
I am not concerned
Harry if you also switch the mode to DSB you can hear the zero beat of

Harry,
1.) Tune in WWV at the highest frequency where you get a good signal.
2.) Select the Phase display instead of the Panadapter.
3.) Click on Setup/General/Hardware Config.
4.) In the DDS area, adjust the Clock Offset value until the display
stops rotating.
This will calibrate the
