[Flightgear-devel] Automated source code analysis

Hi,

probably you've heared already of Coverity. They have a method to
automatically scan source code for possible bugs. They are also working
together with a few OSS projects (like GCC, FireFox, KDE or Wine) where
they continously scan the code base:

  http://scan.coverity.com/

Could this also be a service that we can profit from?

CU,
Christian

 Ok, the binary is here:

 teal.worldforge.org/~jmt/fgfs-0.9.10-macosx.dmg

This is sitting on my cable connection (in the UK), so transfer rate
will not be awesome; I assume Curt will pull it and mirror as soon as
he has time, but if you want to try in the meantime, and let me know
if I've screwed anything up, feel free - I don't have a bandwidth
 cap, it'll just be slow!

It is downloading now to try it. Can we put the file on sf.net? I'm willing
upload the file if that helps. My sf login is spiderbarker.

Best,

Jim

I have a script that pulls and builds a release bundle now, it needs
some tweaking (property list isn't set, no icon), but it's pretty
 straightforward.

It's working well on my g4 notebook. What is the issue with Arthur's wx
interface? Is there anything I can do to help with getting that back
into the package?

Best,

Jim

Feedback: I registered without problems at all.
Try later again, maybe it was just a temporary system glitch.

I think it should be straightforward, and far more useful for the rest of FG in the long run than building yet-another limited frontend GUI.Each Mac user who complains can be considered some more motivation to get me to do this :)HHJames
