We had the presentation today and it went extremely well. Althought FlightGear was only ran for some 2 minutes to show the flight profile of the Concorde, the simulation made the presentation a whole lot more interesting. Much thanks to those who have provided help over the past few days. :) I didn't know how to create a file by hand for the playback protocol, but luckily, Nasal was there to save the day. I gathered the data using the program... but it was an extremely time consuimg and painful experience. Anyway, now I am stuck with another problem. The aircraft orientates fine. It also has the correct altitude. However, setting /velocities/airspeed-kt doesn't make the aircraft move, nor does setting /velocities/ubody-fps. What am I doing wrong? [Flightgear-devel] Using FG for class presentation
My group and I are going to have a presentation on the Concorde's crash (Air France Flight 4590) next week in our Engineering Ethic class, and I am thinking whether I should include FG to spice up our presentation... My idea is to show the event of the crash within FlightGear, and if possible, play the audio file from the CVR in the background and using the nasal to display the subtitles.
