Have you tried my Windows binary http://www.vso.cape.com/~nhv/files/fgfs/fgfs.exe.gz Initially JSBSim went crazy during the cfg xml read ( JSBSim Flight Dynamics Model v0.9.1 [cfg v1.57]) but this is caused by the cvs update adding things like the following to %FG_ROOT%\Aircraft\c172\c172.xml

Well, JSBSim theoretically has the building blocks for an autopilot, same as for an FCS. I have mentioned before that this is one thing I'd like to add in. The caveat of course is not to break anything that currently exists, piss anyone off, or preclude some other FDM from working correctly.
