In order to comply with common practice on commercial Unices (FrameMaker, Acrobat, OpenOffice, Firefox, Fore ATM drivers, Sybase as examples) I decided to get along with /opt/FlightGear/bin/, .../data/ at least on Solaris and IRIX (and on Linux and FreeBSD as well, in order to not confuse myself :-) Martin. -- Unix _IS_ user friendly - it's just selective about who its friends are ! -- ___ Flightgear-devel mailing list Flightgear-devel@flightgear.org http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d
RE: [Flightgear-devel] FG default directories
Paul Surgeon writes The M$ OS's are the most important to me since most of the users are not as clued up with things like paths as the *nix guys and I'm doing this for "idiot friendly" purposes. Thanks Paul I will take that as a compliment. As one of the idiot friendly I can use all the help I can get.As I don't understand paths all that well.
