The problem is, that there will always be this other wife in your household, that will probably freak out, cry the whole day etc. might make things more difficult. but it still is so tempting... especially to plaster the walls with pancakes...Am 05.01.2006 um 06:59 schrieb FLUXLIST-digest:Date: Wed, 4 Jan 2006 23:56:41 -0600 From: mIEKAL aND [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: FLUXLIST: RE: WifeSwap The whole thing seems kinda like Fluxus happening circa 1963, at it's most perverse. A trip through hell could be quite interesting. But still a trip through hell. They will want to make you an object of ridicule. I'm not sure if I would do it or not if asked, tho I think I would tell them to get lost. You could think of it as a battle against exploitation, which might be worth fighting, but it's a battle in which the odds are stacked against you. (They can do the editing.) Good luck. FLUXLIST: Re: wifeswap
mIEKAL, it reminds me of what happened a few years ago... A man died in the 911 attacks on the twin towers (a cop or fire fighter). His son (an extreme liberal) was asked to be on the Bill O'Reilly show ( a conservative talk show). So his son studied tapes of previous shows to figure out O'Rielly's strategy ... like the things he would say before cutting someone off and manipulating what they said and the way he delivered comments, as well as the amount of time he would let someone respond for. With all his studies he agreed to be on the show. He had worked out everything he would say and even timed how long it would take to say certain things. The show was a hit, O'reilly got all worked up and the son really upset him and took away his control until bill finally had to cut to a comercial and kick him out of the studio. The best part is that it was live and the son still got all of his liberal views out on the most conservative talk show on tv. study the show hard and you'll know what to do. the opportunity exists to do something extremely fun on national tv perhaps an opportunity not likely to fall into ones lap twice? -david colagiovanni http://www.thevideojournal.com

Yes, the Jeremy Glick interview which had such gems as this: O'Reilly: I don't want to debate world politics with you. Glick: Well, why not? This IS about world politics. O'Reilly: Because, number one, I don't care what you think. Later, after the interview was forced to a close, O'Reilly gave Glick some fatherly advice, Get out of my studio before I tear you to fucking pieces! The next evening O'Reilly spewed a mouthful of lies and distortions about Glick's intentions - the cowardly way - without Glick being present to defend himself. I hate to be the turd in David's punchbowl, but even after you get thru the rules of the contract (that I'm sure have been carefully assembled - they have had their fill of people trying to get attention), and succeed in doing something outrageous, your actions, ultimately, become an empty statement. Somewhat like what we say here in Texas: it's lipstick on a pig. I think mIEKAL needs to ask himself if he really wants to be well known for something he did on television. I think that's the crux of the whole idea. Rod --- Now playing: Eric Dolphy - God Bless the Child

This IS what I've been thinking alot about. Would I rather be known by a small circle of fellow artists culture workers for things I put my heart in, or for something ludicrous which I have no stake in. Or put another way, if all I get is 15 minutes of fame, is this the 15 minutes I'd choose? I really appreciate the thoughts of Rod others, it quite confirms alot of my fears. Apparently there most successful show was the biker the commune show, so the producer was surfing the net for eco-villages found Dreamtime Village, read thru our website liked what he saw (whatever that means...) ~mIEKAL On Jan 5, 2006, at 6:24 PM, JOHN BENNETT wrote: How on earth did they come to contact you anyway? mrs mIEKAL, whose name is actually Camille, was a tv producer on national romanian tv in her last life, has produced reality tv shows herself. for her its a quite ironic twist of events to be on the other side of the camera. ~mIEKAL I love the dolphy the coltrane too On Jan 5, 2006, at 8:28 PM, Carol Starr wrote: oh i just love eric dolphy. what i'm not hearing here is how does Mrs. mIEKAL feel about all this. i personally think it is disgusting as i saw one episode and the children of both couples were really upset. bests, carol xx NP: a love supreme/john coltrane Rod Stasick wrote: I think mIEKAL needs to ask himself if he really wants to be well known for something he did on television.
