Test suite available, yes, but when you look at the contents you will be
disappointed. The tests only cover new features in 1.1 and some of the
elements clarified since 1.0. I just gave it a test run. FOP doesn't
look too good, mostly because the new 1.1 features are largely

wish list don´t seem to make much sense, as XSL:FO can easily be
converted to OpenDocument using a XSLT style sheet. without doing all
that rendering in between ;)

I'm a bit disappointed by PCL. While it is quite feature-rich, it has
some important gaps. Examples are restrictions for handling transparent
images at least in PCL5 (PCL5c seems to be a little better but is also
quite a bit more complicated). Another example is
That's a fair comment. Still, you have to deal with ODF's ZIP-based
container, multiple output files and resources. You won't get around
writing some helper code around the XSLT. The other question is whether
you can handle all the FO tree features (like inheritance) easily in
XSLT.
