Sorry for not being clear. I also meant the layoutmanager package.

Good--that's where it will go then (barring an
onslaught of -1's between now and this weekend)

BTW, I believe my original rationale for placing in
the Area package was by looking at the imports in
LayoutHandler--it seemed to be very heavily dependent
on the particular implementation of the Area Tree
being used. I wasn't focusing on its
function/purpose.

+1 for moving them out, but as Keiron suggested I'd also prefer
LayoutHandler in the layout package.

[VOTE] Move StructureHandler and LayoutHandler classes

2003-06-24 Thread Glen Mazza
Team,

While Victor and Jeremias are discussing an input
API--I'd like to take advantage now of the relative
freeze in the codebase to move the StructureHandler
and LayoutHandler classes from the apps package to the
fo and area packages respectively (similar to what
we're doing with MIF/RTFHandler).

It primarily involves moving two files and updating
the headers of several others. I've already submitted
a patch for this
(http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20397)
but it has fallen out of date; this time I will make
the change again and commit it to CVS. I should be
able to get it done this weekend (sorry I can't do it
earlier.)

Here's my +1 on this.

Thanks,
Glen

Shouldn't the LayoutHandler go with the layout manager package. The area
package is really only for the area tree.
