I've had the same thoughts. I know of no product that
helps.
I've spent many hours writing my own emacs macros that
work great for my particular DTDs.
Here are the feature I find indespensible:
An editor key to reindent my code, especially when
I'm editing lists in XSL-FO.
My ">" key understands many tags like and
and automatically inserts the following code after I
have typed "" with the proper indentiation.
My return key checks to see if the last tag on the
line was a "" and if so, automatically inserts a
"" on the next line (with the proper
indentation of course) and positions me again
immediately after the "".
These keys have similar capabilities for tags like
.
Unfortunately, I have not documented anything since I
did not anticipate anyone else using my .emacs file.
