I found a workaround for this. An zero-width column can be added to the table:
And then, add to
the problematic row. This causes a warning about area overflow, but looks
okay.
Ugly, but at least it works...

just in case somebody else has this problem: I ended up wrapping every
single character inside a fo:character element and set the hyphenate
attribute to false. This also prevents hyphenation and doesn't require
the Arial Unicode MS font.

I receive a single, large XML invoice file. A single file contains

change your transformation. The blocks have to come in the same order as you
want them printed.
