What's wrong with just trying it out and see what happens? If it fails after 50
pages the job needs to be
split up. If it fails after 11,999 pages one can probably tweak it and get it
work with 12,000 pages too

Let's say you write a script xx.bat as follows:
echo 'I have fun' xx.txt
and you are able to display xx.txt in a WEB page
then to execute FOP and to display its resulting PDF file
