I view many different kinds of files, and sometimes I want to see them in
normal mode even if they contain out of range bytes, but pspad will only
display them in hex view. But maybe I'm missing something. How do I do this?

PSPad
Excellent. Exactly what I want.
There is enormous control of detailed settings that I was unaware of. This one
is pretty obscure though. But anyway, glad to be able to set it.

It would be super handy to be able to jump into a function, especially in a
large code tree.

I have looked at winmerge which does a much better job highlighting differences.
However, it too does not allow for the print I'm looking for. I used to use
Microsoft Visual Sourcesafe which had this ability. However, I currently do not
have access to that program and need freeware to do it.
Is there anyway to make the ftp client send files without the file extension?
Currently I have to leave the file without an extension in order for it to ftp
back and forth from a hp nonstop mainframe because file extensions are not used
on the hp nonstop. However, by taking this approach, I
One place this might work would be to have a setting to allow this when setting
up the ftp information.

The tandem mainframe does not support file extensions. Therefore if a file
extension exists on the file to be ftp'd back and forth, it will fail to work.
The only way I have found around this is to take off the file extension in
windows so that the file just shows as type file. All ftp clients
I did this no longer than 3 days ago without issue. I just tried again and it
works. I'm using ps pad version 4.5.2 and filezilla 2.2.28. My filezilla.xml
is set up non secure. Is it possible that pspad does not support secure ftp
which could be causing the issue?

If you click to the left of the line displayed, it does a second highlight over
the text in the column. It will not show any trailing spaces but at least
highlights just the text.
