Btw: For "HTML multihighligther" the proper English spelling would be "HTML
Multi-Highlighter".



Set your PHP compiler into HTML highlighter. Compiler depends of highlighter and
if you use HTML multihighlighter, you need to set compiler to base highlighter,
not to PHP.
In case you use pure PHP highlighter (not HTML multihighlighter), it will work
anytime.

This is from PSPad. There is no problem to add it into compiler output.

Compile on the background servers for long run compilation - it isn't your case
with PHP.
PSPad tries to catch and display console output continuously, but when the
compiler doesn't use standard output, PSPad isn't able to catch output.

p.s.: forget it, even with "Compile on background" it outputs all echos.
Whatever I select there, the result isn't usable. It is the same with compiling
Java, as we discussed a while back. I suggest to either remove this entire
compiling section from PSPad, or get it finally working.

about A) above: "With Compile on background" enabled I get all the printed text
into the PSPad console, e.g. from "echo" commands, which is usually the entire
HTML of a website. And this can be a lot, and will disturb in the log console.
So, it might be better to keep "Compile on background" disabled for the
"Compiler example", although this isn't a good way still, because console
remains blank after compiling without any error.

So, I suggest this as new compiler example:

Compiler: drive:\path\php.exe
Parameters: "%File%"
[X] Capture Program Output Window
LOG parser: *on line %L

Today I'm looking into compiling PHP files directly from PSPad, because it
should be faster than switching to the web browser every time.

A) The "Compiler Example" for PHP in your Help file isn't up-to-date. This is
working for me:

Compiler: drive:\path\php.exe
Parameters: "%File%"
[X] Capture Program Output Window
[X] Compile on background
LOG parser: *on line %L

So, quotation marks added and the "b" removed.

32b program nema s 64b verzi OS moc spolecneho. I na nejnovejsich Win je tolik
programů 32b přímo od MS. Podle mne mnohem víc než těch 64b. I ten 64b MS
Office není úplně doporučovaný.

Ach jo, tak přejdu na 32b. Jenom mně připadá poněkud ... podivné
používat 32b verzi, když aby 32b verzi os člověk pohledal.
Když už jsem tady, měl bych námět na vylepšení: nemohl by se zavést
parametr při spuštění, který by vnutil tímto příkazem otvíraným
souborům určitou kódovou stránku bez ohledu na to, jaké je defaultní
nastavení, nebo co říká autodetekce?

Ty už jsou tam dlouho. Bohužel se mi nepodařilo zatím zjistit proč.
Při stejných zdrojích se po kompilaci program chová jinak, uvolňuje objekty
v jiném pořadí atd.

I selected (with columnar selection) block before 7-digit numbers, want to
delete it.
Press Shift-Del. And got such result:

My thoughts: at first line PSPad have to delete 3 bytes(chars), at second - 4
bytes(chars), at third - 5 bytes(chars). But it consider largest length of line
to construct rectange to delete - 3lines*5 characters - and deletes 5 chars from
each line, which is not correct. You need to treat  character not as a 1
byte char, but variable length char...

What I know: 
I happened when you load file. 
Most of the cases was related to the PHP highlighter and FTP, often when
standalone close bracket was in file. 

I made some fixes in hihglighters, I made some fixes in IDE to prevent
flickering e.t.c.

Jo, protoze melo byt jine vykreslovani, pouzivajici direct draw, jenze, kdyz
jsem to vse naimplementoval, tak jsem zjistil, ze je to o dost pomalejsi. Takze
zatim zustava starsi, nez si to s autorem vysvetlim.
A s tim souvisi ukonceni podpory Win XP.

UTF-8 neni nadmnozina, ale takovy hybrid, ktery koduje znaky ruznym poctem znaku
od 1 do 3, takze pro editaci neni moc pouzitelne. Jedinou vyhodou je, ze delka
textu ve srovnani s UTF-16 je o neco mensi, protoze UTF-16 pouziva pro kazdy
znak 2 bajty.
A proc UTF-16? Treba proto, aby bylo mozne psat texty v libovolnem jazyku
(kodove strance) a program nebyl zavisly ma lokalnim nastaveni operacniho
systemu.

A jak to souvidi s fontem? Treba tak, ze kzdy znak v souboru se nezobrazuje jako
cislo, ale jako pismeno z fontu ofpovidajici vyjadreni toho cisla.

Jak to souvisí s fontem? Mám otevřený textový soubor, v něm znak 9E a
tvrdím, že textový soubor je v kódování ISO 8859-2 (chyba). Znak 9E v ISO
8859-2 neexistuje -> vykreslím nějaký zástupný znak, třeba otazník.
Převod na UTF16 proč? Zajímalo by mě jak se takový znak převede do UTF16?
Možná, že nijak a právě proto "zmizí".
Není UTF8 už dávno nadmnožina UTF16?

Rozumím. Ale když používám nějaký font a ten font nemá pod hodnotou
znaku nic, pak těžko zobrazím zástupný znak. Nevím, jak bých otestoval,
že při vykreslování tím fontem se nic nezobrazí.

PSpad funguje tak, že jakýkoliv soubor při otevření převede do UTF16-LE,
tam uživatel edituje a při uložení se soubor převede do nastavené kódové
stránky.

I had same issue while editing files using PSPad 5.0.6 build 589 (previous
stable release). There were a lot of garbage characters I've treated as memory
corruption/dangling pointers. So problem is not related to encodings. Will try
next stable release/beta, let's see.

Možná jsem se špatně vyjádřil. Když nemůžu nějaký znak zobrazit, tak
musím zobrazit nějaký replacement character. V tomhle případě např. znak
9E v ISO 8859-2 neexistuje. I tak je ale potřeba něco zobrazit.

Sice to PSpad neumí přes průzkumníka kódu, ale umí vybrat celou sekci
pomocí funkce "Označit element" (Shift+Ctrl+T)

Stačí, když se postavíte dovnitř počátečního nebo koncového XML tagu a
zavoláte Shift+Ctrl+T

Funkce je dostupná na pravou myš v editoru nebo menu úpravy

Znaky se nemohou "nahrazovat" něčím, protože při změně kódování by
nedošlo k nahrazení zpět.
Pokud se vám kus zobrazí v 8859-2 a část v CP1250, pak si to složte do
nového souboru.

Máte pravdu, 32b verze nepadá ani z toho nelítají exceptiony.
Narazil jsem na další problém. Zajistil jsem totiž, že díky čárům s
kódováním mám v textovém souboru dvě různá kódování ISO 8859-2 a
Windows CP 1250.
Zkuste následující:
V kódování CP1250 napište např "aža". Znak "ž" je 9E. Přepněte na ISO
8859-2, kde je 9E nedefinovaný. Znak "ž" zmizí. Binárně tam naštěstí
pořád je.
Toto je určitě špatně. Znak by měl být nahrazen nějakým replacement
znakem. Např. vim zobrazuje mezeru.
Když máte takových znaků víc za sebou a zapnete zvýrazňování
označeného textu a označíte tyto znaky, tak to začne dělat psí kusy.

Používáte 32b verzi programu? 64b verze je označená jako
"experimentální". Zdrojový kod je stejný, ale překladač to trochu
komplikuje.

Už jsem to našel.
Změnu defaultního kódování uděláme takto
Nastavení -> Nastavení programu -> Adresáře a soubory -> Výchozí CP pro
otevírání souborů

Tady máte chybku. Zreprodukujete takto:
Defaultní kódování pro otevření souboru je řekněme ANSI.
1) Otevřete souboru
2) Změňte defaultní kódování např. na ISO 8859-2
3) Zavřete soubor
4) Zavřete PSPad

máte pravdu, funguje to. Zachránil jste mi den :) Nepřečetl jsem si popup s
varováním a automaticky jsem si myslel, že se mě to ptá na uložení
souboru :)

Dá se nějak PSPad donutit aby otevíral textové soubory vždycky v
kódování, které si zvolím?
Podle čeho vlastně detekujete kódování souboru? Dovedu si představit, že
se dá detekovat UTF8/16. Jak ale detekujete 8b kódování?

Já tam ten soubor taky vidím, dokonce při najetí na něj vidím v bublince
(title) jeho správné jméno bez koncovky a v závorce adresář. Ale při jeho
vybrání ohlásí:
Vybraná položka není dostupná. Je možné, že ji někdo přesunul,
přejmenoval nebo odebral.
Chcete položku odebrat ze seznamu?

Bohužel nevím, kde hledat chybu, ani kde jsou informace o připnutých
zástupcích uloženy. V regeditu jsem to nenašel. Čekal jsem, že to bude v
nějaké složce MRU, ale nenašel jsem to ani podle části názvů souborů,
která tam mám.

Z nějakého důvodu se mi v PSPadu uložil soubor pravděpodobně v kódování
ISO 8859-P2
Když otevřu soubor, PSPad předpokládá, že je v kódování CP 1252.
Jak donutit PSPad aby soubor otevřel v kódování v jakém potřebuju?

Nicméně toto nefunguje. Když mám otevřený soubor a změním kódování v
menu Kódová stránka, tak se otevřený soubor převede do daného
kódování. To nechci.

I tested again shortcuts edition.

1) I start PSpad, i use use Default button in the program settings / Keymap ans
restart PSpad
2) I go to program settings / Keymap and i see this in Editor :
CopyLineDown   Shift+Alt+Down
CopyLineUp Shift+Alt+Up
MoveLineDown   Alt+Down
MoveLineUp Alt+Up
3) I clic button OK and try those
4) CopyLineUp and CopyLineDown work, MoveLineDown and MoveLineUp doesn't work
But MoveLineDown ans MoveLineUp work with Ctrl+Alt+Down and Ctrl+Alt+Up
5) I go to program settings / Keymap and define this in Editor :
CopyLineDown   Ctrl++
CopyLineUp Ctrl+-
MoveLineDown   Shift+Alt+Down
MoveLineUp Shift+Alt+Up
6) I clic button OK and try those
7) CopyLineUp and CopyLineDown works, MoveLineDown and MoveLineUp doesn't work

Editor has problems with Ctrl++ and/or Ctrl+- it seems

I don't know if it's linked but i think Keymap save differents shortcut
considering the keyboard :
  - QWERTY : Ctrl + + = Ctrl + Num +
  - QWERTY : Ctrl + - = Ctrl + Num -
  - AZERTY : Ctrl + + = Ctrl + + (PAVE NUM.)
  - AZERTY : Ctrl + - = Ctrl + - (PAVE NUM.)

Hi, could you bring theming of the IDE (dark mode) back to the most recent
(beta) version? Maybe with the addition as "experimental" (or hidden and only be
set in ini-file). In version 5.0.6 it was not perfect but it was doable. I know
the color scheme can be set to dark, but that looks really bad in combination
with the light/classic IDE colors. Thanks!

Google analytics was replaced with Matomo, running on pspad.com server, tracking
start and exception only without any user personal details.
New option in Program settings / Direct edit ([Special settings] section) -
BreakFTPConnectionEach=15. It breaks popup list of connection after each 15 (or
whatever you set). Settings this variable to zero won't break popup list of
connections
New option in Program settings / Code folding - Modified line indicator width.
If set to zero, indicator is switched off
TextDiff drop window will appear on the position where you drag file into PSPad.

New command line parameter -I or /I tells PSPad to use specific folder with
config files. You can use system variables like %USERNAME%

It's extremely difficult for me in my work with PSPad if I want to make a small
change quickly and then have to spend a lot of time finding these stupid
characters in the code and restoring the original code from a backup. Especially
in larger files.

Zkoušel jsem z průzkumníka otevřít PHP (pravá myš / otevřít v programu
/ PSPad)
A na připnuté ikoně jsem pak soubor viděl.

Dobrý den, s původním tématem to sice nesouvisí, ale nenapadá Vás, čim
by to mohlo mohlo být? V připnuté ikoně PSPadu se mi nefunguje pouze
otevření posledních souborů s koncovkou php. Všechny ostatní, co
používám, tj. txt, js, css, se otvírají bez problémů.

Další build bude znát parametr /I nebo -I a za ním cesta ke složce s INI
soubory.
Pokud nebude existovat, PSpad se pokusí složku vytvořit a nakopíruje tam INI
soubory ze složky PSPadu.

Příklad:
[cesta]\PSPad.exe /I "cesta_ke_slozce\%UserName%"

Odsud se bude brát PSPad.ini, PSPad_FTP.ini, Recent.ini, nahraná Makra atd.

You're right, the message did move from right to left, you now need to drag the
file to anywhere in the GUI: Don't know if this is a better behaviour? Besides
the box is a step backwards when it comes to aesthetics, but I guess this does
have sth. do to with the "bye-bye dark mode"...Thanks.

Pro mazání nodů jsem používal Microsoft XML notepad - ten tu funkci má,
ale je bohužel už opuštěný a dál se nevyvíjí -

Ale jak jsem psal, není nutné přímo mazání, ale označení textu celého
nodu, stejněě jako procedur v jiných jazycích by bylo dobré. S tím už se
dá pracovat.

Funkcnost, kde by slo mazat celé nody v XML zatím není. Zusim se zamyslet,

Je nějaká možnost jak přes průzkumníka kódu vybrat text, nebo dokonce
mazat jednotlivé položky? Hlavní využití pro mě je na XML soubory, kdy
potřebuji často vybírat celé nody a odstraňovat je, nebo kopírovat jinam.
U XML není funkční folding, ale i u jiných formátů, jako třeba PHP, není
možné udělat rychlý výběr přes složení nodu/funkce a její vybrání
nebo odstranění.
Takové funkce bych rozhodně uvítal.

Uplne mi to nevyhovi, protoze uzivatele/admini se pripojuji vzdalenou plochou
nebo Remote Control a kdyz si na dane stanici spusti PSPad (ze site), nemaji tam
svuj ini. Myslenka byla, ze si spusti PSPad ze site i se svym ini souborem. To
by ale v tomhle pripade znamenalo mit cca 5-10 individualnich "instalaci" PSPadu
na peti lokalitach - 5 serveru a na kazdem 5-10 PSPadu pro jednotlive adminy.
Proto jsem myslel, ze bych to udelal podle vzoru TCMD, ale to nejde. Budu muset
vymyslet asi nejake kopirovani individualniho ini pro jednotlive adminy.

very large files didn't work with the 64bit build either as I hoped. But
nevermind, I don't care about both problems and would be much more happy if the

Chování připnuté ikony PSPad nijak neovlivní, ani do ní nezasahuje. To je
komplet pod správou Windows. 
Windows ví, že se daný program soubor otevřel v nějakém programu a taky to
tak zapisují do registrů a pak nabízí v nabídce.

Dobrý den, kompletně jsem odinstaloval starou verzi a smazal adresář. Pak
jsem nainstaloval novou verzi a závada se přestala projevovat. Děkuji za
spolupráci.

Tentýž postup však nepomohl v jiné závadě, že na dvou ze tří Windows
stanic mi nefunguje otvírání posledně otevřených souborů z připnuté
ikony na hlavní liště. Po otevření souboru z adresáře se nová položka v
nabídce objeví, ale při jejím zvolení se objeví hláška, že odkaz je
neplatný a že ji někdo asi smazal. Kupodivu funguje jen ta nejstarší
instalace a dvě nové, jedna dokonce na úplně čistý systém, blbne takto od
začátku. Jako by to do registrů zapisovalo neplatný odkaz.

It works. The only problem is report of the crash on close application.
There is no problem to have 2 PSPads together and 64b version use for large
files only.

I will try to find reason of this behavior. It's based of compiler, not the

Just a short comment why the 64bit version can make sense: I often have to
investigate large trace files with more than 4Gbyte. This cannot work with the
32bit version so I tried it with the 64bit version. But it didn't work either

Když se podíváte na spodní okno PSpadu, je tam napsáno CSS nebo HTML
multihighlighter?
Podle toho, jaká syntaxe je v PSPadu zvárazněná, tak se zobrazuje i obsah v
průzkumníku kódu.

Změňte syntaxi na CSS (menu zobrazit nebo ikonka na toolbaru nebo dvojklik na
stavovém řádku).

Nevím, co myslíte tím stavovým řádkem. Soubor má název "default.css", v
jeho vlastnostech je uveden typ souboru "Soubor CSS (.css)" a má velikost
14.560 B. Po opětovné instalaci starší verze 5.0.4 (543) průzkumník kódu
opět funguje. Upozornění na aktualizace jsem vypnul.

dotazem a vraci se jednopixelovy obrazek. Zkuste ping www.pspad.com

Tusim ze ctrl+klik na odkaz s informacemi o analytice (nastaveni programu /
update ulozi do schranky http request, ktery se posila.
Klidne jej muzete spustit z prohlizece, jestli jej vas paranoidni blokovac opet
zablokuje

Jedina zmena byla nahrada Google analytics za analytiku, ktera bezi primo na
webu PSPadu. Jde o jeden http reguest. Blizsi informace o tom, co se posila za
informace je v nastaveni programu / aktualizace. Jen se mi vloudila chybka, ze
neni videt ovladaci prvek pro vypnuti. Na to musite do prime editace a nastavit
APPAnalytics=0

Monituruje sepouze spusteni programu a vyjimka, abych vedel, ze se nezacaly
mnozit nejake chyby. Zadne podrobne informace o uzivatelich se nesleduji.

Ale z te adresy webu PSPad.com se stahuji i informace o nove verzi.
Muzete aspon zjistit z firewallu, o jakou ip adresu se pri komunikaci jedna?

I had to roll back to an older version.

Filetype php, via FTP, with Multihighlighter.

Another old Problem remains the same in this version:
Sometimes, without error oder notice, strange characters
are inserted in php-files.
In many cases at the position of closing brackets "}".

Sorry i didn't see your answer.

I) TEST EXPORT DEFAULT
1) I use Default Button in the program settings / Keymap and restart PSPad.
2) I check the Keymap settings and export a .km file to compare later with this
default

I do this several times, replacing the same export file over and over, there's
no KeyMap.ini in PSPad directory but the export file supposed to be a default
each time present several [Editor]. One for each restart.
It seems PSPad does not just export but add to the file.

If i do all this on a new file there'a only ont [Editor] but with no blank line
to separate from [Encoding]

I) TEST EXPORT DEFAULT
1) I use Default Button in the program settings / Keymap and restart PSPad.
2) I check the Keymap settings and export a Keymap-00-Default.km file to compare
later with this default
3) This first export does not include a blank line separator between [Encoding]
and [Editor].
4) I define the shortcut for Edit/aCopyLine at "Ctrl++ (PAVE NUM.)". OK twice
and restart PSPad. It works and the only difference between Keymap-00-Default.km
and KeyMap.ini is this shortcut. I make a copy of KeyMap.ini :
Keymap-01-Edit_ecCopyLine.km.ini. I make a Keymap-02-Export.km export.
Comparing Keymap-01-Edit_ecCopyLine.km.ini and Keymap-02-Export.km i see those
lines of [Editor] :
ecLineBreak=
ecCopy=
ecPaste=
ecCut=
ecUndo=
ecRedo=

I restart PSPad.
5) I define the shortcut for Editor/ecCopyLineDown at "Shift+Ctrl+Alt+R". OK
twice. It works. I restart PSPad, it works. I export a Keymap-03-Export.km file
ans quit PSPad.
Comparing Keymap-02-Export.km and Keymap-03-Export.km i see just the new
shortcut change.
6) I copy KeyMap.ini to Keymap-04.ini.
Comparing Keymap-03-Export.km and Keymap-04.ini, i see two [Editor] in
Keymap-04.ini.
7) I modify KeyMap.ini with Notepad.exe and delete one [Editor].
8) I start PSPad, export a Keymap-05-Export.km : it's the same than
Keymap-03-Export.km
9) I defined Editor/ecCopyLineDown at "Ctrl++ (PAVE NUM.)". OK twice and restart
PSPad. It doesn't work.
I export a Keymap-06-Export.km file and compare it to Keymap-05-Export.km :
Editor/ecCopyLineDown is Empty dans Keymap-06-Export.km.
I copy KeyMap.ini to Keymap-07.ini and compare it to Keymap-06-Export.km : in
KeyMap.ini there is two [Editor] and "ecCopyLineDown=Ctrl++ (PAVE NUM.)"

I think PSPad has a problme with writing [Editor] section and to put "Ctrl++
(PAVE NUM.)" or "Ctrl+- (PAVE NUM.)" shortcut in it.

bit mi totiž firewall blokuje komunikaci s informací Malware / Network
trojan.
