Christian,
Verify the presence of the Agents Table in:
/usr/local/lib/fossology/test.d/fossologyinit.sql or in the tarball at
fossology-/db/fossologyinit.sql
Also problem may exist around here

This file tells the scheduler how to send out work t
has been dropped and recreated with the script sql script,
but the agent table is still not there.
Any idea ?

Don't reinstall - not necessary, the problem is as you correctly
identified is with the postgres pg_hba.conf

fossology. (on a RHEL 5.2 x86_64)
