I think it certainly helps to have a face-to-face meeting right at the start of the board's term, and thus have no problem about extending the term of the current board. What I do have a worry about is my current commitments to the board, and my complete failing to be involved as much as I would like. (FWIW, my OpenSolaris governing board duties are sucking too). Also note that the current board hasn't discussed or pre-decided anything about this. As Jeff says, we have got sporadic words about this possibility but that's it.
