Timezone variables should exist in the .profile and .cshrc files in root and
possibly in a script for PI that sets environmental variables it needs. I
am not familiar with PI but we have dealt with this issue communicating to
an InfoPlus/21 data historian from Aspen.

Related to checkpoint problem:
when I check /usr/fox/sp/files... two files from the Micro station
giving the checkpoint problem are linked :
BBMICRO1.UC and DBMICRO1.UC,
while the files from the other stations are not ???
Can that be the reason ?

Chad,
Make sure that SMPT is turned in MS Exchange. You can sometimes get more
information by telneting into the Exchange Server. If port 25 doesn't work
try port 110 that should be the POP3 port.
here's a copy of my session
AW51B1# telnet mailhost 25
Trying 192.168.1.1...

25 didn't work but 110 did. I am checking with our IT guy to see if SMTP is
on on the server or assigned to another port.
AP2000# telnet mailhost 25
Trying 161.16.40.52...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
AP2000# telnet mailhost 110
Trying 161.16.40.52...
Connected
I am now trying another server (IT is sending me around the network) on
which SMTP is working. My question is is there any way to get the AW to
recognize changes to the hosts file without a reboot?

Hi,
I am trying to start the Operator Action Journal automatically at boot
time on I/A version 6.1 system and on a 4.3 system. The docs for I/A
version 4.2 say to put them in the wp51_glbls file, but the I/A version 6.1
6.2 docs say they belong in the init.users file. There is a section in
Hi Sean,
The same /usr/fox/wp/data/DMNAME directory structure is on the 4.3 the
6.1 systems here, and I have heard that there are few differences between
4.3 6.1. I did notice that the timestamp on both the glbls files are the
same as my last rebootation.
Thanks for the clues,
Stephen
