I have a bunch of FrameMaker 7 book files which I need to move from a
network drive to a local drive. This means that all file paths which reads

file path which might read as: C:Manuals/new/manual.fm. I can solve this

Yep...we use Archive at all client sites, love it, highly recommend it. It's a
tremendous time saver and great for version control within a single-sourced
environment, as well as a nifty way to make a project completely portable

I am looking for suggestions on single sourcing content of a dictionary
(currently in MS Word) into two versions:
- Web version (not PDF) with cross links between definitions/terms
- Printed book that is handed out at trade shows (very popular item,
sponsored by multiple companies).

FM could do it, but if I were you, I'd think about using a simple
database as the back end that pumps out the info on command either to
FM or HTML. Unless it's stable enough that you don't have very many
changes
If you did flat-file it, FM should be able to do both versions with
aplomb. I'd

I bought the Tech Comms Suite at the beginning of 2008. I see that it
has been upgraded with Acrobat 9. Is there an upgrade to Tech Comms
Suite 1.3 (which I understand simply includes Acro 9)? If so, how
much? I will be quite ticked off if the price is that for a new copy of
Acro.
Hi Jona,
You can do this with my TableCleaner plugin. See

Bjorn,
If you have the book and its components in a single directory tree,
you can copy those components and move them as a group; that preserves
the relative path in the Frame files.
If the book isn't in that structure, the easiest way it move it is to
use Bruce Foster's Archive plug in, which

Hello, Dov.
I did not expect a personal response from Adobe. And I decided against going
through their Tech Support until I absolutely had to. That decision is based
on past experience with their version of Support.
And thank you for your comments regarding copy/paste. Your point is well
made.
Bruce Foster's "Archive" plugin will do it for you easily, and for only 25
bucks!: http://home.comcast.net/~bruce.foster/products.htm
