I have a bunch of FrameMaker 7 book files which I need to move from a network drive to a local drive. This means that all file paths which reads for instance Y:manual/version01/manual.fm now has to be updated to a new file path which might read as: C:Manuals/new/manual.fm. I can solve this by

Yep...we use Archive at all client sites, love it, highly recommend it. It's a tremendous time saver and great for version control within a single-sourced environment, as well as a nifty way to make a project completely portable whenever necessary. Rene L. Stephenson - Original

FM could do it, but if I were you, I'd think about using a simple database as the back end that pumps out the info on command either to FM or HTML. Unless it's stable enough that you don't have very many changes If you did flat-file it, FM should be able to do both versions with aplomb. I'd

I bought the Tech Comms Suite at the beginning of 2008. I see that it has been upgraded with Acrobat 9. Is there an upgrade to Tech Comms Suite 1.3 (which I understand simply includes Acro 9)? If so, how much? I will be quite ticked off if the price is that for a new copy of Acro.

Bjorn, If you have the book and its components in a single directory tree, you can copy those components and move them as a group; that preserves the relative path in the Frame files. If the book isn't in that structure, the easiest way it move it is to use Bruce Foster's Archive plug in, which
