I work with FM 8.0p277 on a PC.
I have a coloured background in my FM document and have added an image
with the same background colour (to make the inserted image look
'transparent') by reference. I have no line around the image, just a
fill with the same RGB code as the background color in

I will be watching for replies to this request. I am also rebuilding my
knowledge with Frame. I could share this with my coworker, we both have been
using Word for too long and now converting our files to Frame.
Any easy reference books about Frame would be helpful.

You may also want to post to the Adobe Acrobat group because the
problem seems to actually be how the PDF is printed... although I
agree that the creation process may be a contributing factor.
If you want to play in Frame, you might want to try selecting the
graphic and/or frame, depending on how

This is basically a Windows GDI (and GDI+) thing.
However, when Framemaker sets up the so-called device context during
PostScript - PDF creation it is actually possible to set a drawing flag
that prevent drawing the white rectangle before drawing the image itself.
