Dear all
When loading a particular file into FM-10 (p419) I get for a short time a red
rectangle in the top
left screen corner (about 400 x 300 pix) containing the text Loading x%. Most
time the x is 10 or
15. This message appears just for about 2 seconds until the document is opened.

I've followed the instructions, added the cross reference from the pod,
chosen the Paragraph Tag (Figure n+) from the list, selected specific
paragraph from the Paragraphs list and chosen the format 'Figure No.' from
the Formats list.

I got nowhere when I was trying to understand how to create an FM10
project using XML source. Everything I found either seemed to be out
of date or was aimed at experienced users.

One reply, off-list, suggested a cross-referencing plug-in. That *might*
work for linking back automatically, but it doesn't address building the
TASK and CHKL out of the comprehensive IMPL (main book).
I'm leaning towards LOP, this week. Each Task and Step would link back
to the manual
Related to my Manual Task Sheet Checklist project (you though the
single-sourcing challenge was tricky!):
I have the Checklist linking to various external publications that it
calls (in the previous email, I simplified it to one doc, but it's
really linking out to about ten different docs).

Dear Framers,
I have a book of 100 short fiction stories (i.e. 25 words long). Each
story starts at the top of a new frame on the master page (4 to a page).
From the top, there is:
-Author (Heading3)
-Author weblink (Link)
-Title (Heading2)
-Story (Body)
When I save
Hi all
I am sure I have seen something in a forum about this before but cannot find
anything on it now.
When I search for a term/paragraph style etc throughout a book, Frame opens a
file, searches for the term, then instead of opening the next file in the book,
goes back to the start of that
I've been tasked with researching practices related to documentation requests.
Currently, we have no formal process and I suggested that requiring requestors
to fill out some sort of form would enable our department to quantify staffing
requirements and provide more accurate insight into when
Ive seen it do that if I click out of the Find/Replace box and type in the
body of the current document. To stop it from looping, dont do that. J

I noticed that just yesterday in FM10. Eventually I started watching the
page numbers and manually saving and going on to the next file when it
restarted.
Seems like a bug to me, as does FM's long-standing tendency to change the
search scope from Book to Document on its own.

Yes, I think that's true. If you just click buttons in the Find /
Replace box it doesn't loop.
I wish I had a copy of FM6 or 7 around to compare the old behavior.
