I ran the install with admin rights. Clicking FrameMaker to customize the
installation shows FrameMaker and then Distiller as a subcomponent, each
with selected checkboxes. If I deselect Distiller, FrameMaker gets
deselected also. If I select FrameMaker, Distiller is reselected. I already

Acrobat has not been removed or deactivated on any of more than 20 installs

Well, I never had problems to deselect the Distiller plugin, this sounds
strange. Do you have all the necessary admin rights?
It is not advisable to install the Distiller plugin together with an
existing regular Acrobat, which will be efficiently removed or
deactivated -- very annoying esp. when
Unless you want to mess with the innards, it's easiest and best just to
install FM with the defaults. You're more likely to F* up something trying
to second guess the installer and not install the Distiller than you are
following the KISS principle.
If Acrobat is set as your default printer, as
I was afraid of that. Oh, well.
Now I just have to wait for the IT service company to call, since they're
the ones with the Acrobat software.

Hmm. you may have to set a Restore Point and go ahead & accept the Distiller
part and see if it's smart enough to recognize that you have the full Pro
version already installed. Then if worse comes to worse, you could try
uninstalling Acrobat & reinstalling it, while still having a stable
I'm trying to use the customize option. It won't let me deselect the

Hi Rick
Yes, that's what I had tried, but Shift-click on one of the elements does
not expand ALL of them, not even when I Shift-click the root element (in
the Structure view and in the document view). Some elements are expanded,
some are not, randomly, which is not really handy. ;-)
Kind regards
Hi Yves,
Try holding your shift key and clicking to expand one of them.

Hi group
When I open an EDD, the element boundaries (as tags) are hidden. When I
select the option to show these tags, I see that most of them are
collapsed. Is there a simple way to expand all tags in 1 go?
Thanks
Yves
