I agree with Veronica - Neil Perlin is the one you want.
Good luck!

Ah, it's the "you need Update 2" to make this work bit - I had tuned out after
the initial release about that addition & there's hardly any questions about it
on the forums to remind me.

Linking is still mentioned in the docs, though as ever they don't
really tell you how to do it.
https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/import-link-framemaker.html
Seems unlikely to me that they'd deprecate that since it's presumably
the same mechanism used by the integrated subset of RoboHelp
IIRC, I think the link method for FM-to-RH was dropped in RH2019; it's
import-only now. (I've always been an importer, so I didn't notice much about
the linking bit changing)

If you do decide to go with RoboHelp, last I checked Adobe has still
not documented how to link FrameMaker source to RoboHelp (i.e. to use
RH as an add-on rather than importing FM source). I created this as a
model. See fm_link_to_rh.pdf for detrailed instructions.
Agreed. Neil is good. :)

Hi Art,
I would highly recommend Neil Perlin of Hyper/Word Services for RoboHelp
training. He is my go to, to provide RoboHelp training for my clients.

Sure, if you wouldn't mind pushing it along, that'd be awesome.

At my last job, the source was in FrameMaker. When I started we were
using RoboHelp to generate web help, but after a while I migrated to
WebWorks ePublisher and found it far superior.
Flare can't act as an add-on to FrameMaker the way RoboHelp and
ePublisher can. You have to import. So if you
Hey Art,
I had to put together a list quantifying and qualifying why ePub or Flare
was far superior to RH for producing OLH - I lost the battle, and now I am
fighting a RH war, but if you want any of this information, just let me
know.

Thanks, Jeff -- my thinking behind the classroom version was to be able to
suck the instructor(s) into the kind of advanced level stuff that's
required by asking them questions 1x1. We'll see.
I just requested a fresh ePub eval too.

Web works and E publisher are far superior for producing context sensitive help
the integration between frame maker and RH has not improve significantly enough
to remotely compete and it's not just the integration that's the issue it's the
complete lack of basic functionality in some key areas
Depends on what version of FM - it's been getting better & better, but there
are still some tweaks that aren't supported well within the FM publish model.

Yeah, that was the first stop Jeff.
The writers working on the POC/Prototype can't get a number of
marketing/usability things working that way. I haven't had the cycles to
see if they're just not very good or that there's an actual gap in the
software.

Totally agree.
I've used Webworks before and been happy with it, but I'm assuming two
things -- that the integration within TCS has improved a bit, and also that
I need to demonstrate the lack in the software I've got before I can buy a
new package.
So planning on investigating more deeply and
Actually, a lot of FM users are going to HTML5 direct within FM (and not using

Off-topic a bit, and with the caveat that I haven't done this kind of work
