I'm trying to import the above from one file to the rest of my files in a FM 8
book. All the files are open and the import does not report any errors. However
the import does not work. I've even tried to just one file in the book, with no
joy. Any ideas what is going wrong?

I'm trying to set up a cross ref to allow me to refer to a footnote
twice on the same page. However, I can't seem to format the figure so it
is the same size and position as the original footnote. Anyone got this
to work?

Ellen, you can fix that by using this patch. It shrinks the frame
leaving your settings as is.

I'd say it depends where your biggest market is. I work for a UK Plc who's
biggest market is the US. Therefore our docs are in US English.

Hi Roger,
We are on the same set up here (until we move to a DITA based CMS

Peter,
Open your maker.ini file in a text editor (from the Program
Files\Framemaker directory) and locate the following line:
ClipboardFormatsPriorities=
Move TEXT to the beginning of the list.

There is a pdf in the zip )fm71_usingdita.pdf). There are installation
instructions in that. Could have been a bit more obvious though.
Something like Installation perhaps :-)

When doing a word count on frame files with lots of conditional text, do
I need to show all to get an accurate figure for all text or does the
word count ignore the conditional text settings?

Shmuel,
Not sure about any limits, but I have a book that is pdf'd in 6
different variations. I create a book name variable for them all and
then apply conditional text to each variable. I've not had any issues so
