Framers, I am de-cloaking after many years to ask for your help in a bit of
a long shot. I am calling myself a literary critic now, but what I am is a
literary detective investigating the hoax works of Edgar Allan Poe. If you
have an interest, please have a look at my prototype:
CHM was fast, but I am shocked, stunned, and deeply dismayed that it WILL
not die.

Mein Gott! What does it TAKE to kill off bloody CHM format?!!

HelpSmith can publish to CHM and Word, which are formats a lot of other
authoring tools can import.

I can do both, to some extent. If I need a really tricky CSS implementation,
I have a variety of consulting friends to call on and/or subcontract to. I
believe that every tech writer should push his or her limits in using the
tools and playgrounds (yes, I find CSS to be endlessly fascinating). I

Hi there -
I believe he sees it as a defect which must be corrected, ergo, his problem (he
is in an Agile role but in a QA headspace, so to speak).
BTW, there seems to be a one-day delay between my writing to the list, and the
post actually appearing.

Hello, Framers -
My QA guy has a problem with chasing minor typos in our docs: it takes longer
to document the typo than it does to fix it. He wants a solution that bypasses
the need for FrameMaker, and has read an article that says Word 2013 will allow
editing of PDFs in native format. He

All,
I have been tasked with finding a way to allow SME input directly into our
publishing workflow. That is, the developers and managers would be able to edit
text and add graphics to our source files. I want to keep FrameMaker as the
publishing engine. I'm thinking a CMS would be in order,
