: Recording DVDs Rick, I purchased a Magnavox VCR to DVD recorder a
couple months ago. Even though I have not used it for that purpose, the
manual claims that a menu can be created. I also have a video editing
package from Roxio that allows me to do some pretty cool editing and menu
creation

Hi,
I haven't tried Nero or Pinnacle softwares, but have used ArcSoft's
ShowBiz 2 (http://www.arcsoft.com/products/showbiz/). It is quite
intutive and a hassle free software. I've made DVDs and VCDs from
tapes. You can insert menu, special effects, edit (cut, copy, paste)
video frames, etc.

I am sorry for the seriously off-topic post, but here goes. I need to record
some VCR tapes onto DVD. I can buy hardware to do this, but is there a
method for making a menu for the DVD so I can navigate to different
sections on the DVD (like a commercial DVD)? Thanks in advance.

I had on-hand.
