Hi,
I do not think that this is a general problem. I copy and
paste tables with their anchored frames (with text frames
and cross-references in them) all the time, and I did not
encounter any numbering problems.
Best regards

I usually copy and paste an anchored frame that already has the
settings I want, delete what's in it, then import the new graphic.

Paul,
Would you recommend putting such a frame in the reference pages for
occasional use or is there another, more accepted method?

I can usually remember roughly where a similar frame already exists in
the body of the document and copy it from there,

Or, try our Graphfix plug-in

Is there a way to set the anchored frame import defaults?
For example, I want:
below current line
alignment: right
not cropped
not floating
but each time I import a file (image) by reference, I have to change the
anchored frame settings to what I want.
Thanks.
best,
Paul

Thanks to the folks who answered my email. I will look into getting the plug-in.
