Hi folks,
In FM10, the Track Text Edits feature enables you to select the Scope according
to which Framemaker will search for text changes: either Book (default),
Document, DITA MAP (for structured FM) or Selected Documents. I'm looking for a
way to change the default setting - instead of
A quick search of list archives back to 2007 doesnt quite address this.

Frame file and to import many (many!) files as referenced files in it.
Benefit: You can change anything in the original files for different
releases and your book with chapters (and referenced files) are the

Yes, this bug was noted previously on the list. It only started after Adobe's
most recent patch of Acrobat 9.0 (which was supposedly a security patch rather
than anything affecting basic functionality), and only seems to be a problem
under Windows XP. Reportedly, Find works fine under Windows
Actually, I'm running Acrobat 9 on Windows 7 Ultimate and I get exactly the
same behaviour as Stuart. So it's broken in Windows 7 as well - and it's *very*
annoying given that it defeats the whole purpose of the Find function.

First, it is generally a bad idea to use OLE linking even for applications and
file formats that are officially supported (which does not include Visio). Yes,
there are some people who have been using it successfully. But

Yeah, people have been seeing that message for several years.
This is a result of Microsoft's initial faulty OLE implementation,
compounded by the re-write of OLE that they released in XP SP3, which
totally broke the Adobe OLE handling. Bottom line is it didn't work

Lately I've been annoyed by Acrobat's behaviour during text searches: it
displays the page that contains the next occurrence of the search term,
but does not highlight it. If the page contains two occurrences, the
second occurrence will be highlighted by Find
