I was lazy and didn't want to reinvent the wheel, so I took DOCBOOK and
modified the EDD to make it format the way we wanted. Of course with
heading resetting the numbering system I wanted an automatic way to
apply the heading formats without reverting to manually setting attributes.

Format List from squidds.de ($49) will do a very nice job of that. It
creates a table with a row for each of the formats. It makes it very
easy to scroll down a column and see, for example, which paragraph
formats use a certain font. (It doesn't show every single format,
though-- but does cover

For free, you can read it all in the MIF file (save .fm to .mif and read
the MIF file in a text editor). Takes a little more time than using any
outsider tools. Also, if you have FrameScript, there are scripts for free
to list this out, IIRC.

Thank you both for replying. It got me looking in the right places. It
transpires my page set up was set to double-sided printing, but with ignore
blank pages selected. Changing this to force the document to have an even number
of pages (which I thought I had already done) has
