There was a Confluence plugin that would import a ditamap into
Confluence 3.5. I believe it was called Dita2Confluence and was
developed by Lisa Dyer. It worked pretty well once you got the
environment variables sorted out. But it was only one-way, so you
couldn't use it to update your XML
Confluence 4's Import from Disk feature uses the undocumented XML
format created by the Export to XML feature.
I experimented with using Webworks ePublisher Designer to convert from
FrameMaker to Confluence 4. It looks fine, but when you edit a page

I wonder if anyone else has seen this anomaly which has bitten us a few
times. If you replace an image using File Import File option,
FrameMaker does not replace the image location in the XML. The scenario

The manual page-by-page import I've done is too complicated to
automate. You'd want to use one of the APIs or the plugin SDK for bulk
import.

FWIW, there is a free product called AutoIT that allows you to automate
complex interactions with the GUI. The programming language is
well-documented and quite powerful.

Hi Roger
I have just tested this. Indeed, when you import a new image into an
existing anchored frame, the href attribute is not updated to the new image
path and name, in your example image2.png. However, I don't think this is a
bug because you are using a FrameMaker feature (File Import File
While I appreciate Yves' rationalization about why this isn't a bug .. it sure
sounds like one to me. :-)
I'll bet that this works fine in FM8 but with the UI change in FM9 the dialog
never gets dismissed any more and that may have been what keyed FMx to update
the href (and height/width).
