Problems with Save as function
Hi there, I have been working on an FM document for over year. I am using FM 7.2 and Acrobat 7.0 distiller to create PDFs. As of this morning I am unable to produce PDFs using the Save as PDF option. I get the following error message: %%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%% %%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: pdfmark; ErrorInfo: StRetrieve P279585 ]%% Stack: /StRetrieve /P279585 /StoreName -dict- %%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%% %%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %% At the same time I cannot use Distiller to produce a .ps file from a PDF Fortunately I can still produce PDFs (lower quality though) when printing to PrimoPDF. Any suggestion or tips? Conditional Text and Numbering
I am using Framemaker 7.2 on a Win XP SP2 platform. I have limited experience with conditional text and have to maintain a user guide for two rather similar products. I have been able designate text conditional. My only problem has been to designate graphic captions as conditional. My graphic captions paragraph style contains an automatically generated numbering scheme. When I set a graphic and caption as conditional, the graphic (frame) and the caption title disappear. However the graphic number (Figure X.X) does not. How can I use conditional text to eliminate the graphic caption and maintain my numbering scheme? Any clues who be appreciated, Thanks in advance, AK ___ You are currently subscribed to Framers as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send list messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or visit http://lists.frameusers.com/mailman/options/framers/archive%40mail-archive.com Send administrative questions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit http://www.frameusers.com/ for more resources and info.

The screenshot didn't come through (lists don't allow attachments), but my guess is that you *do* have two flows. This can happen if you Ctrl-drag a text frame a tiny bit; you get a copy of it on top of the original one. It's easy to do this by accident when editing. You need to delete the frame that is *not* in the exact position it should be; check the position by Ctrl-clicking on the frame, then looking at Graphics > Object Properties. One of the two frames should have slightly different properties than the ones you see whan you check a frame on a different page; that's the one you need to delete. HTH! -- Jeremy H. Emergency situation
Hi everybody, I am experiencing a very peculiar problem with one of my documents. Whenever I try to modify a particular section and then save the document, the text jumbles up and is not legible. Its almost as though there are two text flows clashing into one another. This is not only a screen issue because the messy text situation is replicated when I print the affected section. I have attached a screenshot that illustrates my problem. Please does anyone have any suggestion as to how I can solve this problem? I am using FM 7.2 on a Win XP SP2 platform. Thanks in advance
